My Aunt's Garden, 2010.
70x70 cm, Diasec Prints.

My Aunt's Garden is a series constructed with the 8 mm footages from my family archive. The work questions the notions of time, place and nostalgia bu playing the perception o the viewer by using photography and video at the same time. It blurs the line betwee the past and the present. With the combination of virtual projection and real objects, the viewer experiences a feeling which belongs to an imaginary world. These construced images are not just made by me but my mother, grandfather and maybe even the relatives I didn't have a chance to meet.
