Die Welle, 2016
Photobook Dummy
20x20 cm, 48 pages.
Edition of 20
produced in FUAM Istanbul PhotoBook Workshop #4 “Photobook Masterclass” conducted by Frederic Lezmi & Marcus Schaden between 18-23 April 2016.
Die Welle can be defined as a sketchbook of a photographer. Named after Rainer Maria Rilke’s poem, the pattern of waves is used metaphorically as a form of production. It is a combination of two visual exercises formed over the years: the photographer’s found image archive and Instagram posts which she defines as her visual diary. These two practices intertwined like waves and together, they formed a map of the photographer’s existence as an image maker in the form of a photobook.
